Griffith Altmann

Griff leads the J&J Vision Surgical Instrumentation R&D organization that is responsible for developing corneal refractive and cataract laser, phacoemulsification, dry eye and ocular diagnostics systems and associated accessories and consumables. Prior to joining J&J Vision, Griff led the global R&D team for Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), another J&J company, that developed low-temperature sterilization and high-level disinfection systems used in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices and instruments. Prior to ASP, Griff spent 16 years at Bausch & Lomb developing contact lens, IOL, laser vision correction and diagnostics products. Griff is the inventor of 14 U.S. patents. Griff resides in Orange County, California with his wife and 3 children and enjoys running, cycling and golf.
