Biography
Anthony B. Daniels, M.D., M.Sc., is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and the Director of Ocular Oncology at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a clinician-scientist with one of the largest clinical practices in ocular oncology/eye cancers in the United States. His laboratory, which studies tumor biology and focuses on drug discovery for eye cancers, has received millions of dollars of funding from the National Eye Institute, the National Cancer Institute, the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, from several research foundations, and from industry. He is a member of several societies including both the prestigious Macula Society and Retina Society, and has received dozens of national and international awards, including the Ronald G. Michels Award and the Raymond Margherio Award from the Retina Society.
