Chuck Hess

Chuck Hess is the Vice President and General Manager of the Bausch + Lomb US Surgical Business. For 35 years, Chuck has dedicated his career to ophthalmology and to Bausch + Lomb, serving in a wide range of roles including positions in R&D, marketing, sales, management and leadership. Throughout his career, Chuck has had the privilege of working with many of the most influential and well-respected physicians, healthcare professionals and business leaders in the industry to bring new products, systems and solutions to the eyecare community. He and his Bausch + Lomb team are focused on delivering advanced technology to the market and excellent customer support with the goal of continuously improving the standard of patient care. Chuck graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an engineering degree and has been responsible for the design, development and launch of over 550 microsurgical instruments, led the development and launch of three microsurgical systems and holds a U.S patent on an ophthalmic microsurgical device..
