Eric has served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Avellino labs since January of 2019. He has over 20 years of global experience in the ophthalmic industry, working with small and large multinational companies. Prior to joining Avellino, Eric spent the last 12 years with Alcon, managing country, regional and global organizations and brands. Most recently he served as the Strategic Marketing Director for Advanced Technologies in Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that post, Eric led the global launch of Panoptix, Alcon’s first trifocal IOL. From 2010 to 2015, he led the Surgical Marketing organization in Japan, based in Tokyo and held roles in US and Global commercial organizations prior to that assignment. Prior to joining Alcon, Eric held marketing and medical affairs roles with BD Ophthalmic Systems, having joined them after entering into industry with Summit Technology as a clinical specialist, prior to the acquisition by Alcon. His journey into ophthalmology started with several years in patient care in practices in the New England area. He received his BS in Business Management from University of Phoenix and his MBA from Suffolk University – Sawyer School of Management.
