ExSight’s Early Success Opening Door for New Fund?

Firas M. Rahhal, MD, a partner at ExSight Capital, had his hands full with his surgery practice in LA. But when a few high-profile patients prodded a fellow surgeon into creating an early-stage fund to invest in ophthalmology, Dr. Rahhal decided he could build a few more hours into his week to become a venture capitalist. The small fund made three investments, including one in gene therapy company RetroSense, which was acquired by Allergan last year. What’s next for the upstart VC?
