Gary Wörtz, MD

Gary Wörtz, MD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky and in private practice at Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He is also an active consultant to the ophthalmic industry and a frequent contributor to ophthalmic publications and continuing education meetings. He is the chief medical editor of Millennial Eye and on the editorial board of numerous other publications. Additionally, Dr. Wörtz enjoys sharing his opinions and learning from guests on his podcast, Ophthalmology Off the Grid. He is the co-founder of Omega Ophthalmics and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Wörtz is an innovator striving to develop disruptive technologies that will lead the industry forward.
