Jay Katz, MD

Dr. L. Jay Katz, MD, Director of the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital and Professor of Ophthalmology, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, received his BA from Case Western Reserve University, his MD from Yale University School of Medicine, his ophthalmology residency training at Yale and his glaucoma sub specialty training at Wills Eye Hospital.

He has wide-ranging interests in glaucoma, including drug evaluation, the roles of laser and medical management in glaucoma treatment and optic nerve scanning methodologies. The author of approximately 177 journal articles and 34 book chapters, Dr. Katz has delivered hundreds of lectures, teaching sessions and courses.
