Ludwin Monz, PhD

Dr. Ludwin Monz has been President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG since 2010 and was appointed a member of the Executive Board of the ZEISS group in 2014. Carl Zeiss Meditec is the medical technology company of the ZEISS group. Monz joined ZEISS in 1994. He headed ZEISS’ microsurgery business unit and ophthalmic systems business unit for many years. These units are the market leader in their segments with a broad spectrum of diagnostic and therapy products for ophthalmology. Monz holds a PhD degree in physics from the University of Mainz (Germany) and an MBA degree from the Henley Management College (U.K.).
