Biography
Piovella was born in Como, and completed his undergraduate studies in Pavia, where he graduated in Medicine and Surgery specializing in Clinical Ophthalmology. In 1992 he founded the CMA, Center for Outpatient Microsurgery based in Monza (MI), an innovative structure and reference for ophthalmology outpatient surgery in Italy, where he currently serves as the Scientific Director. His continuous exchange of experience with leading international surgeons has allowed Piovella to become viewed as a scientific reference in the ophthalmology world and has led him to arrange and finalize numerous conferences and courses on the latest surgical techniques in cataract and refractive surgery.
