Biography
Nick Tarantino is Sr. Vice President of Clinical Research and Medical Affairs for Glaukos Corporation a company specializing in innovative solutions for the treatment of glaucoma. In this role, he is responsible for leading the execution of the worldwide clinical and medical affairs strategies for the organization. Dr. Tarantino has over 30 years experience in the ophthalmic medical device and pharmaceutical industry serving in various clinical research, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs executive positions with Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Abbott Medical Optics, and AcuFocus. He has given over 55 scientific and clinical presentations and has over 15 publications in the areas of intraocular lenses, vision science, and corneal response to contact lens wear. He recently served as the primary industry representative to the FDA Ophthalmic Advisory Panel and served as the Chair for the American National Standards Institute Z80 Committee on accommodating IOLs.
Dr. Tarantino holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and a Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry.
