Jehan Tamboowalla, vice president, head of new products, ophthalmology, Novartis, says they have an amazing pipeline that covers 4 key areas—retina, rare disease, regenerative medicine, and refractive and ocular surface disease.

They’re looking at innovations such as novel delivery technologies, home-based diagnostics, and apps to help patients diagnose and track presbyopia. In addition to their own R&D, they look for bolt-on acquisitions for other technologies.
