SightGlass Vision, a New Company to OIS

Thomas Chalberg, founder and CEO, introduced a new company to OIS, SightGlass Vision, which he said hopes to revolutionize myopia care. Myopia is skyrocketing, with projections that 5 billion people will have myopia by 2050.

Chalberg reported results from a series of small clinical trials where patients wore glasses equipped with one of the company’s WaveShift lens and one standard lens. Tests indicated that the WaveShift lens stabilized myopia, whereas the normal lens didn’t slow the progression at all. The company is raising a Series A funding for pivotal study and a global launch.
