Biography
Dr. Chang is presently Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. He was the first to use C3F8 gas in the treatment of complex retinal detachments with vitrectomy, developed perfluoro-octane for use in vitreoretinal surgery, and collaborated with Avi Grinblat in developing a panoramic viewing system for vitreoretinal surgery. He has devoted his career to improving vitreoretinal surgery outcomes and teaching retinal surgical concepts to the next generation of ophthalmologists.
