Stephen Smith

Dr. Smith is Co-Founder and CEO of iRenix, a biotechnology company leveraging premium drug-delivery technology to meet crucial needs in the intravitreal injection space. Dr. Smith is an entrepreneur and vitreoretinal surgeon. He completed his medical training at 3 institutions known for their focus on medical innovation, Mayo Clinic (M.D.), University of Michigan (ophthalmology residency), and Stanford University (adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery fellowship). While at the University of Michigan, he was an inventor on core patents relating to the RAPIDD platform and co-founded iRenix in 2016.
